Professor Martins Ekata Irhebhude is a distinguished academic, researcher, and professional in the field of Computer Science with extensive experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, Intelligent Systems, Data Analytics, and Emerging Technologies. He is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the Nigerian Defence Academy and has made significant contributions to teaching, research, postgraduate supervision, and academic administration.
He has successfully supervised numerous undergraduate and postgraduate research projects and has published widely in reputable journals and conference proceedings. His scholarly impact is reflected in his Google Scholar h-index of 12, i10-index of 12, and Scopus h-index of 4.
Professor Irhebhude has held several strategic academic and administrative positions within the Nigerian Defence Academy. These include Assistant Dean of the Postgraduate School, Chairman of the Publications Committee of the Faculty of Military Science and Interdisciplinary Studies, member of the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory Committee, member of curriculum development committees, accreditation panels, and academic policy implementation committees. He is currently the Head, Department of Computer Science.
He has actively participated in institutional research development initiatives, grant application mentoring programmes, academic planning, automated result computation systems, and postgraduate programme standardization activities. His leadership contributions have strengthened research governance, quality assurance, and innovation management within the institution.
