Hauwa Yahaya Abubakar is a meticulous professional, an engineer and pragmatic leader, with over 20 years of experience building, maintaining and enhancing IT infrastructure across a multitude of institutions. She has worked with world-class organisations including;

•  * Nigeria Telecommunication Limited (NITEL)
•  * Datatel Communications Nigeria Limited
•  * Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC)

Currently, Hauwa is the Head of ICT Infrastructure with the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC) with responsibility for the setting-up and deployment of all the critical ICT infrastructure and services under the World Bank Credit for PPPs in Nigeria, the development of Contract Disclosure Web Portal for the PPP projects. She was part of the technical teams that brought to fruition projects such as the E-Customs modernization project, Warri-Itakpe E – ticketing to mention but a few.

Hauwa is a member of a myriad of professional institutions, such as Nigeria Computer Society (NCS), Africa Public Private Partnership Network (AP3N), Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN), Women in Infrastructure Community Africa (WICA), Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE) Engineering Forum of Nigeria UK (EFN). She was the immediate Past National Treasurer of Nigerian Women in Information Technology (NIWIIT), the current Vice Chairman of NCS Abuja chapter and the Director Financial Services Practical Artificial Intelligence Development Foundation (PAIDeF).
