Dr. Emeka Ogbuju is a passionate teacher and an accomplished professional with a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence from Nnamdi Azikiwe University and a robust educational background, including a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Computer Science. His expertise extends to diverse areas in NLP/ML, evident in certifications such as Big Data Analytics and Optimization from the International School of Engineering, India, and a Certificate of Competency in Deep Learning from the NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute.

Dr. Ogbuju's distinguished career includes roles as Senior Lecturer and Deputy Director of Quality Assurance at Federal University Lokoja, as well as noteworthy experiences such as being a Project/Teaching Assistant at Neuromatch Academy, USA. He has earned prestigious grants and awards, including the CIFAR Deep Learning + Reinforcement Learning Grant in Canada, the PyCon US Grant Award, ACM SIGIR/SIGKDD Grant Cape Town (2018), Gene Golub SIAM Full Scholarship France (2019), Black in AI Workshop Grants (2018, 2019), Deep Learning Indaba Full Scholarships (2018, 2019), and Sparrho Early Career Researcher Prize London (2017).

Dr. Ogbuju is a recognized Fellow of Scholars Academic and Scientific Society, and Nigeria School on Internet Governance. He is a Professional Member of the Association for Computing Machinery and Pan-African Scientific Research Council. He is a chartered IT Practitioner by the Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria and a leading member of the Nigeria Computer Society.

Currently, he serves as the Head of the Department of Computer Science and Acting Dean of the School of Computing at Miva Open University, Abuja.
